The ceremonial opening of the festival ended with fireworks over Zlín

The bright sky ended yesterday’s first day of the festival. The colorful fire-show with impressive music was the highlight of yesterday’s opening ceremony of the 63nd Zlin Film Festival. During it, Czech actor Pavel Nový took over the Golden Slipper, an award for extraordinary contribution to the cinematography for children and youth. Viewers then had the opportunity to see a screening of the Canadian film named Billie Blue.
