The Canadian delegation is euphoric. The children's jury was most impressed by the film Coco Farm, the youth jury was impressed by the story Both in Heaven and on Earth. The first two films to be honored at the festival were already watched by filmgoers in the morning. We will announce the next awards tomorrow.
The heart film Coco Farm has gladdened the hearts of audiences at many festivals around the world. The best feature film of the Zlín Film Festival for children is about a twelve-year-old Max who discovers the world of small-scale farming and brings an inspiring message and extraordinary values for today.
The second award-winning Canadian film, On Earth as in Heaven, is the story of a girl who embarks on a journey of self-discovery. It is about the power of sisterhood and also the power of freedom. The Youth Jury Award for Best Feature Film for Teens and Young Adults was presented in person to actress Lou Thompson, who played one of the lead roles.
Unlike in previous years, this year's winning films were announced in succession. We will reveal the other winners at tomorrow's closing press conference. For example, you will find out who will win the Technology Agency Film Award, the ECFA Doc Award for Best European Feature Documentary for Young Audience and the Ecumenical Jury Award for the best feature film for teenagers and young adults.
