The 64th Zlín Film Festival Opened With Smiles of Children and Enthusiastic Applause

The festive cheers and shouts came from hundreds of young schoolchildren who filled the Zlín Congress Centre today, not only to kick off this year's film festival, but also to watch Lars is LOL, a Norwegian film about friendship, otherness and trying to fit in with your peers. The script of the opening film was based on the Norwegian bestseller of the same name by Iben Akerlie and took home the audience award from the festival in Tromsø, Norway. Director Eirik Sæter Stordahl also attended the screening in Zlín.
